Johann Michael Griß was the founder of the "Rössle" guesthouse. He was granted a liquor licence on 19th September 1828, which had been held by Josef Peter at number 69 before him. From his union with Anna Maria Koch, came daughter, Maria Kreszentia Griß, who married Martin Koch in 1876.

Take a little excursion into the history of our hotel and be amazed by the changes to the hotel and its owners and the people who have come to stay.
In 1927 a banquet hall and guest rooms were added to the hotel west wing. From 1957, Martin and Liutgard Koch took over the business. Luitgard has always been the kind soul in the hotel and together with her son Martin and his wife Andrea, a contemporary hotel and restaurant business came about.
